During the pandemic many of you reported an increase in demand for employment and equality advice. In response, you might have increased existing capacity or perhaps started working in this area of law for the first time. We know that some funded this work with your reserves, grants from trusts and foundations, or generated income through charging for certain services.
We have heard from one Law Centre that funding this work in a sustainable way is proving increasingly challenging and the service could be at risk unless further funding is found. We don't think this is an isolated problem and we would like to better understand the state of play across the network.
We would like to invite you to join us in a round table discussion where we will be exploring this issue. We are particularly keen to hear from you if you have a good example of making employment advice financially sustainable.
